Closing the Doors & Guarding Those Gates!

The enemy can’t destroy a believer who is surrendered to King Jesus, but he will always attempt to distract, deceive, and INTIMIDATE!
Most spiritual battles are not random attacks, they’re usually the result of open doors we have not yet closed.
All through scripture, God warns His people to “guard the gates.”
The Eyes — Matthew 6:22–23
“The eye is the lamp of the body… If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.”
The Ears — Proverbs 4:20–22
“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.”
The Mind — Colossians 3:2
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
The Heart — Proverbs 4:23
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
The Home — Joshua 24:15
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
The enemy works through agreement.Wherever we give into agreement, whether through sin, fear, bitterness, or compromise, the enemy claims access. He’s obsessed with this system.
But the good news is, any door you opened, you can close y’all!Any agreement you made with darkness, you can break.Any place the enemy used, Jesus can restore.
Ephesians 4:27 commands, “Give no place to the devil.” This means we have authority to shut every spiritual window the enemy tries to slip through.
Open Door → Shut Door
Unforgiveness opens the door. Forgiveness shuts it.
Fear opens the door. Faith shuts it.
Lies open the door. Truth shuts it.
Sin opens the door. Repentance shuts it.
Apathy opens the door. FRESH OIL OF INTIMACY shuts it.
The moment you repent, the legal right of darkness is canceled. The moment you renounce, every foothold breaks. The moment you resist, the enemy MUST flee.
Your freedom is not fragile, it is fortified in Christ.Same with your identity—it’s secured by the blood of the Lamb!Your authority is not random, it’s specific and inherited.
And when the doors close, the Holy Spirit fills that room—not with fear, shame, or confusion, but with power, clarity, purity, and boldness.
This is how we walk in victory:
Clean hands. Pure hearts. Shut doors. And open heaven.
Prayer
So, Holy Spirit, reveal to us what doors are open. Help us to walk this out, to take the time to hear You and walk with You through shutting doors and refreshing our intimacy with You! Amen.
